Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., announced that a 17-year-old has been arrested and arraigned after making threats to Croton-Harmon High School. The arrest was made by Croton Village Police after a tip was received on Wednesday, Sept. 4, by the school district through its “Anonymous Alerts” reporting portal.
Scarpino said that the teen was arraigned on Thursday, Sept. 5 in the Village of Croton Court and charged with making a terroristic threat. The teenager’s name is being withheld due to his age.
"The safety and security of all students and school staffs in Westchester County are paramount to all of us," Scarpino said. "We will continue to be vigilant as we are every day where the safety of our children is concerned.”
The incident is currently being investigated by the Croton Police and the District Attorney's Office Investigations Division.
